ABOUT US
Founded by Mr. Ajay Saini in November 1990, Jyoti Apiaries embarked on a journey that has since revolutionized honey production in North India. While pursuing a degree in entomology as part of his BSc. in agriculture, Mr. Ajay Saini became acquainted with the vital role bees play in the environment, food production, and the overall food chain system. This newfound knowledge sparked the idea of beekeeping and honey harvesting. Committed to introducing scientific beekeeping techniques and sustainable honey extraction methods to local farmers, Jyoti Apiaries established strong roots.
IMPORTANCE OF BEES
Bees are crucial for the food chain because they play a key role in pollination. When bees collect nectar and pollen from flowers, they inadvertently transfer pollen from one flower to another, facilitating fertilization and the production of fruits and seeds. This process is essential for the reproduction of many plants, including those that produce the fruits, vegetables, and nuts that make up a significant portion of our diets. Without bees and other pollinators, the food chain would be disrupted, leading to a decline in food production and potentially threatening the survival of various plant species and the animals that depend on them. Bees are vital pollinators that help ensure the availability of diverse and nutritious foods in the food chain.
VISION
The vision behind Jyoti Apiaries was clear from the start - to provide sustainable honey to the masses while uplifting the livelihoods of local farmers. Over the years, this mission has not only thrived but has also become a significant source of income for countless farmers. Through unwavering dedication and tireless effort, Jyoti Apiaries achieved recognition from the Uttar Pradesh Ministry of Agriculture in 1992 and received national acclaim from the Government of India in 1994.
At the heart of Jyoti Apiaries lies a simple yet profound principle: when you harvest honey, you take only half, leaving the other half for the indispensable bees. Recognizing that bees are the world's primary pollinators of food crops, accounting for approximately 80% of plant pollination, the company's commitment to their well-being is unwavering. Honey is extracted exclusively from the super chamber to ensure the utmost purity and ethical practices.
In a market inundated with commercial and processed honey, Jyoti Apiaries stands out as a beacon of purity, offering raw and unprocessed honey. With a growing number of informed consumers, the company has imparted its knowledge to over 17,000 individuals, spreading the scientific techniques of honey harvesting far and wide.
Jyoti Apiaries boasts infrastructure, with over 4,000 beehives of its own and collaboration with a Government-approved Beekeeping Cluster comprising 307 registered beekeepers. Supported by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Jyoti Apiaries collaborates with more than 5,000 beekeepers across 10 states in North India, collectively managing over 55,000 beehives
